The Tomatina festival is famous the world over, but this one is a local secret! Every last Sunday in September, Almogía, in the Guadalhorce region, celebrates Almond Day, an event that aims to raise awareness of all the traditions surrounding the cultivation and processing of almonds. The Nerja Fair takes place every year in October, in one of the largest venues in Nerja. If you come during the fair, you will see all kinds of attractions, food stalls and tents where different artists are invited each year. Great atmosphere and buzz about the place, definitely worth a visit if you are holidaying in the area.

This festival, commonly called the “Fuengirola Fair”, is held in the month of October in the fairgrounds.
